Brand New Content

I. Showdown 2.0 Deepwood

A new Showdown season is here, bringing strange omens to the world. The base Sense levels of all stages and heroes have been altered.

1. New Hero in Showdown: Yoto Hime

Yoto Hime has now joined Showdown.

With the demonic blade in hand, may you slay all evil!

2. New Chapter: Sunwing's Rest

The dark valley is fraught with hidden dangers. Omnius is attacking in an even more shocking manner this time.

3. Nirriti's Ruins and Adjustments to Yama's Abyss

Yama's Abyss has been transformed into a purer trial ground. Players can now bring their Souljades into battle, continuously challenging higher stages to advance their Showdown rank.

The original format of Yama's Abyss has been made into a brand new game mode, Nirriti's Ruins, featuring more powerful Anima Rings, fresh gameplay elements, and an even more thrilling experience.

Take on the challenges of Nirriti's Ruins and Yama's Abyss separately for a variety of bountiful season-limited rewards.

4. Brand New Souljades and Potentials

With the arrival of a new season, players can now use a new "Poison-wielding" power and new Souljades! "Fight poison with poison" and seize victory through unexpected means.

Potential levels have been reset, and we have adjusted the effects of existing Potentials, as well as added new Poison-related Potentials to provide a wider range of combo selections.

Unlock the pass to level up and obtain the Legendary Weapon Skins [Ivy Shards] and [Celestial Abyss], exclusive Martial Skill Cosmetics [Thunderbolt·Blaze] and [Draconic Lightning Strike·Radiant] for Viper Ning, and [Annihilation Slash·Inferno] and [Annihilation Blade·Crimson] for Yoto Hime, the new Legendary Souljade [Pestilent Pool], the Extreme item [Flux Shard], and a host of other rewards!

Event Rules

This artifact comes from the Perdoria. Try to piece together the story it holds.

1. During the event, participating in Survival modes or Showdown matches will earn you Insight Tokens according to your in-game performance (including but not limited to dealing damage, countering, and healing). You can earn up to 100 Insight Tokens per match, with a daily cap of 200 Insight Tokens.

2. Every 200 Insight Tokens automatically converts into 1 Knowledge Point. Spend Knowledge Points to unlock clue stories for three artifacts and receive clue rewards.

3. Once all three artifact clues are unlocked, you can open the Artifact Treasure to obtain the final reward.

4. Each day, players can claim an Archaeology Gift to gain 100 bonus Insight Tokens, which doesn't count towards the cap for points earned from matches.

2. Ancient Wood

Hero Adjustments

I. Kylin Zhang

1. Optimized the hit sound effect when Kylin Zhang's Black Gold Blade under Ultimate state hits enemies.

2. Slightly shortened the startup frames of the charged strikes in the Ultimate [Qilin Slash] and optimized the performance of Horizontal strikes and Charged strikes.

3. Added a special effect prompt to the attack path of the echo strike in the Ultimate [Qilin Slash: Rend], making the attack path easier to discern.

II. Shayol Wei

1. The Skill [Shield Bash: Rush] can now block ranged weapon projectiles during the rush.

III. Other Adjustments

1. Redesigned the calculation method for the Endurance Threshold. After being [Frozen] by Justina Gu or [Enchanted] by Tessa, any armor or health damage taken during this period will be reduced by the corresponding threshold.

//Dev Note: Previously, when a player was Frozen or Enchanted, enemies could use [Armor Pierce] and other tactics to deal a large amount of damage without breaking the armor threshold and the control effect, which went against the design purpose of the threshold. Therefore, we adjusted the calculation method used for the threshold so that Justina Gu's [Freeze], Tessa's [Enchant], Ziping Yin's [Inspiration Shield], and Hadi's [Aerial Ascent] are now all consistent with one another.

Weapon Adjustments

I. Fistblades

1. When you have [Cloud Weaver] equipped, the Wild Sweep effect will change when using the charged horizontal strike.

2. Slightly increased the startup frames of the 2nd stage charged vertical strike.

3. Slightly reduced the movement of the horizontal and vertical strikes while sprinting.

4. Slightly reduced the stagger time when the vertical strike and crouching horizontal strike hit grounded enemies.

5. Reduced Horizontal and Vertical Strike Damage Multipliers:

• Reduced the 1st-stage charged Horizontal Strike Damage Multipliers from 0.81*4 +2.42 to 0.75*4 +2.26.
• Reduced the 2nd-stage charged Horizontal Strike Damage Multipliers from 0.64*6 +1.93 to 0.59*6 +1.76.
• Reduced the 1st-stage charged Vertical Strike Damage Multipliers from 5.48 to 4.96.
• Reduced the 2nd-stage charged Vertical Strike Damage Multipliers from 2.82*2 to 2.48*2.

6. Reduced the damage multiplier of [Cloud Weaver] from (0.76*3+3.8) to (0.7*3+3.48).

II. Katana

1. Adjusted the effect when the 4th stage horizontal strike hits standing enemies.

Combat Adjustments

I. Added a special effect prompt when successfully dodging an enemy's attack.

II. Optimized the display for damage value text colors when dealing damage.

In-game Adjustments

I. Mechanism Adjustments

1. Added a new mechanism [Treasure Stele]. Interact with it to accept the [Serial Cache Hunt] quest. Follow the clues provided by the Treasure Stele to find all the chests and get rich rewards!

Out-of-game Adjustments

I. Custom Room

Added the following custom room settings:

1. Disable Global Kill Log: Disables the kill log in the lower right corner of the screen will be hidden.

2. Disable Kill Announcement: When enabled, the hero avatar and player name in the kill log will be hidden.

3. Disable Info of the Killer: When enabled, the hero avatar will be hidden in the killer info, and the player's name will be displayed as the corresponding hero's name.

4. Disable info of the Kill Leader: When enabled, the kill leader party will be hidden.

The above settings are only available in the Survival modes.

II. Match History

Due to the changes to Yama's Abyss, all previous player records will be reset after the update.

III. Shoes Switch

1. Added a new Shoe cosmetic for the Viper Ning Legendary Outfit [Maple Snowfall].

IV. Hair Dyeing Page Optimization

The camera in the hair dyeing page now allows you to adjust its pitch angle and zoom level.

V. Baize's Blessing

1. After the update, players can choose to get the Deepwood Legendary Souljade Random Gift after using the [Baize Bless Gift] obtained from the Baize's Blessing.

VI. Justice Store

1. After the update, players can get the Deepwood Epic Souljade Random Gift and the Deepwood Legendary Souljade Random Gift from the Justice Store.

VII. Songbird Arena

1. The attributes and skills of heroes in Songbird Arena have been adjusted to match the Solo mode effects.

Showdown Adjustments

I. Season Challenge

1. Season Challenges are added to the Showdown Pass. Complete season challenges to accumulate [Showdown Challenge Points] and unlock season challenge titles and rich rewards.

2. There are [General] season challenges and [Nirriti's Ruins] season challenges. Complete specific [Nirriti's Ruins] challenges to unlock additional game content and basic ability boosts in Nirriti's Ruins.

II. Yama's Abyss Adjustments

1. Yama's Abyss has been adjusted to a stage-advancing mode that only supports solo challenges.

2. The Yama's Abyss leaderboard will no longer distinguish between solo and trios. The past Yama's Abyss leaderboards will be merged, and only your highest ranking in both leaderboards will be displayed.

3. Added a Quick Restart button. Select it in the pause menu to immediately restart the challenge for the current stage.

4. Added a function to quickly enter the next stage after winning. Interact with the portal in the scene after winning to enter the next stage without quitting.

III. Nirriti's Ruins (formerly Yama's Abyss) Adjustments

1. Nirriti's Ruins now has four difficulty levels: Normal, Hard, Nightscream, and Legend.

In Hard levels, Showdown Souljades that can be obtained in other Hard stages have a chance of dropping.

In Nightscream and Legend levels, any Showdown Souljades can drop, and the drop rates are the same for both difficulties.

2. Your Souljades, Sense levels, and Potentials will no longer take effect in Nirriti's Ruins, but the bonuses from hero levels will still apply. In addition, you can complete Season Achievements to obtain Fire Forge bonuses for Nirriti's Ruins.

3. New effect - Blessing: For some types of Anima Rings, having 4 grants a certain blessing, and having 12 upgrades the blessing, granting an even more powerful effect.

4. New feature - Nirriti Codex: There is a chance to encounter the Nirriti Codex when completing area quests. The Nirriti Codex can enhance existing Anima Rings, provide new ones, or make the stage content change.

5. Added a batch of Anima Rings, including several Secret Anima Rings. The new Secret Anima Rings can be obtained through the Nirriti Codex. The values and qualities of some Anima Rings have been readjusted, and some Anima Rings will no longer be available.

6. Souljades will no longer be available in Nirriti's Ruins. The effects of some Souljades will appear in the form of Blessings or Anima Rings.

7. Increased the amount of Dark Tide Coins provided by all sources in Nirriti's Ruins (defeating monsters, opening Cursed Chests, abandoning Anima Rings, etc.), but also increased the price of Carved Jades. In addition, the Rift Dealer's refresh function has been removed, but he will sell three types of temporary enhancement items at the same time.

8. The two types of Zones, Eradicating the Evil and Money Hungry, will no longer appear in the normal process.

9. Dark Tide Coins can no longer be obtained by abandoning Anima Rings in default cases.

10. Increased the Health of the Axe Evil-Ent in Nirriti's Ruins and slightly reduced the Health of the Hammer Evil-Ent, Copperclad Staff, Copperclad Hammer, Depth Fiend, and Nerusa.

IV. Souljade Adjustments

1. All Ultimate Souljades have become Faded Souljades, losing their original effects. They can no longer be obtained or enhanced. Faded Souljades can be reforged into any other Legendary Souljade from Showdown 1.5 by selecting Reborn in the Equip Souljades page. The reborn Souljade will inherit the original Souljade's sub-attributes.

2. The content of the Ultimate Souljade Choice Gift has been changed to Legendary Souljades from Showdown 1.5.

3. [Detonating Rounds] will be temporarily unavailable. Players who already own this Souljade will not be affected and can continue to develop them.

4. [Desperation] has been adjusted to only drop in [Toppled Mountains·Nightscream].

5. Slightly delayed the timing of the freezing effect when the Frostbite is full in [Yushan Shadows].

7. The effect of the Souljade Attribute [Scorching] has been changed. Now, after countering, your next melee attack will deal extra blaze damage.

The damage multiplier of the [Burn] inflicted by blazes has been increased from 0.11 to 0.25.

8. Optimized the performance of the damage numbers that pop up when dealing Elemental damage while you have Souljades with Elemental Attributes equipped.

V. Hero Adjustments

1. Reduced how far some heroes move backwards when using Defuse·Solve, making it easier for them to use. (Affected heroes: Viper Ning, Valda Cui, Kurumi and Temulch)

2. Viper Ning

During her ultimate [Moonbane Control: Showdown], Viper Ning can move freely and gain an additional 70% damage reduction.

3. Feria Shen

The single-shot Aegis-break ability of the swarm in her Ultimate [Mech Mayhem·Showdown] has been adjusted from 25 to 30. In non-cannon mode, the damage multiplier of Bronze Mech is adjusted from 3 to 3.5, and the tenacity reduction ability has been adjusted from 90 to 105.

4. Tianhai

(1) The duration of his Ultimate [Titan's Call: Showdown] is changed from 30 sec to 15 sec.

(2) In Vajra state, when unarmed, the action of releasing skill moves has been adjusted to a punch, with damage multiplier adjusted from 5 to 11, and Tianhai's Aegis-break ability adjusted from 500 to 1100. In addition, it can cause a stagger effect on large enemies.

(3) In Vajra state, the damage multiplier of Vertical Strikes is adjusted from 2 to 2.5, and his Aegis-break ability adjusted from 200 to 75.

(4) In Vajra state, the Counterstrike Combo against large enemies is adjusted to attack combos, with a healing effect upon hit.

5. Temulch

With his Ultimate [Storm Prison: Showdown], an eye of wind forms in the center of the Prison, periodically pulling enemies within range and reducing their Astral Aegis.

6. Tarka Ji

With his Ultimate [Fire Frenzy: Showdown], he can build Rage by attacking enemies.

7. Kurumi

With her Ultimate [Purified Circle: Showdown], the Attack of allies in the circle is increased by 20%.

8. Valda Cui

Enemies hit by the water spears in her Ultimate [Rising Tide: Showdown] will take additional Astral Aegis damage.

9. Yueshan

With his Ultimate [General’s Call: Showdown], the Counterstrike Combo against large enemies is adjusted to a 2-stage attack, and hits will have a healing effect.

10. Matari

(1) When activating her Ultimate [Invisible Assassin: Showdown], the damage multiplier of her skill [Flash:Showdown] is adjusted from 4.5 to 6, with the Aegis-break ability adjusted from 450 to 600.

(2) The healing percentage when dealing damage to enemies during her Ultimate has been adjusted from 40% to 45%.

(3) The Attack bonus obtained after releasing the skill [Flash: Showdown] is adjusted from 40% to 50%.

11. Wuchen

(1) The damage multiplier of a single spirit blade in his Ultimate [Tai Chi Teleport: Showdown] is adjusted from 0.53 to 0.75, with the Aegis-break ability adjusted from 53 to 75.

(2) The damage multiplier of a single large spirit blade in his Ultimate [Tai Chi Teleport: Showdown] is adjusted from 5 to 5.4, with the Aegis-break ability adjusted from 500 to 540.

VI. Doom Domain Adjustments

1. Added Auspicious Omens to the Doom Domain, which will grant heroes various ultra-powerful bonuses. The omens rotate weekly and take effect in all four levels.

2. After the update, the Doom·Speedrun will be temporarily closed, the rest of the levels in Doom Domain will still be available for you. After Sep 12th, 2024 at 00:00 (UTC) Doom·Speedrun will be reopened.

//Dev Note: Currently, the experience in the Doom Domain is too similar to regular levels, causing Doom Speedrun to overlap with Yama's Abyss. Additionally, the high difficulty has led to negative matchmaking experiences. Therefore, we've introduced the new and unique Auspicious Omens to enhance the fun and playability of Doom Domain. We look forward to seeing more diverse playstyles with these Auspicious Omens.

VII. Feature Adjustments

1. Fatigue Compensation

Fatigue Compensation has been moved to the Weekly Quests page, and now must be unlocked. Once you complete Dharma-Ending Ruin on Normal difficulty, you will unlock weekly Fatigue Compensation.

2. Old Recasting System Removal

The old Recasting System will be removed from the game as a part of the September 12th Update. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause. After the old Recasting System is removed, any remaining Quench Crystals will still be usable with the new Recasting System. A Quench Crystal's value will be equal to that of a Carved Crystal.

II. Adjustments to Monsters

1. Bosses' Jump Attacks cannot be interrupted by Ultimates or Skills.

2. Vinemire's Blue Focus Strikes cannot be blocked by Defuse but can be Countered.

3. Bosses' Blue Focus Attacks have additional auditory cues.

End of Support for the Xbox One

After this update, NARAKA: BLADEPOINT will no longer be supported on the Xbox One, and players will not be able to experience the game on this platform.

Players who played on the Xbox One can still access the game through their player accounts on the Xbox Series X/S or the Xbox App on Windows PC, and all account progress will be saved and switched.

Bug Fixes

I. Hero-related Bugs

1. Fixed an issue where Kylin Zhang couldn't immediately crouch after stopping charged movement during his Ultimate.

2. Fixed inconsistencies in the timing required to chain certain skills (such as Kylin Zhang's [Raider's Touch: Choke] and Ziping Yin's special dodge) with quick counters and normal counters.

3. Fixed an issue where Akos Hu's [Feral Frenzy: Lockdown] movement restriction effect wasn't working on certain hero movement mechanics.

4. Fixed an issue where Kylin Zhang would enter skill cooldown if interrupted at the moment of using [Raider's Touch: Choke].

5. Fixed an issue with the visual effects for Tarka Ji's hands displayed to allies while his Ultimate [FireFrenzy:Extend] was active.

6. Optimized memory reclamation for Fairyland Penglai on Playstation, reducing the frequency of lag.
